N3TC Duduza Care Initiative spread festive cheer

Pietermaritzburg — Heartwarming moments and happy smiles were the order of the day as the N3TC Duduza Care Initiative brought together members of the KZN Road Incident Management System (RIMS) and young patients of the Greys Provincial Hospital in Pietermaritzburg this morning.

Since Duduza was launched in 2008, first responders and members of the various emergency services have paid countless visits to hospitals and orphanages along the N3 Toll Route, distributing thousands of teddybears, blankets, and bags of sweet treats — each a symbol of care and compassion.

“The N3TC Duduza Care Initiative is our opportunity to spend time with some of the most vulnerable South Africans along the N3 corridor,” says Praveen Sunderlall, N3TC RIMS manager. “The visits always leave us touched by the optimism, courage, and gratitude of these young hearts. They inspire us to do more and work harder when we’re out on the roads protecting lives and encouraging all road users to embrace their role as road safety partners”.
