TRAFFIC ADVISORY N3 TOLL ROUTE | INDEZI RIVER BRIDGE MAINTENANCE | TEMPORARY NORTHBOUND ROAD CLOSURE | 10 JULY 2024 FROM 10H00 TO 12H00

Ongoing maintenance work at the Indezi River Bridge, located at N3-4 km 30.2 in the vicinity of the Balgowan/Curry’s Post Interchange (I/C 125), requires the temporary closure of the NORTHBOUND carriageway of the N3 Toll Route on Wednesday, 10 July 2024 between 10H00 and 12H00. Similar to the previous stages of works on the bridge, additional closures will be required in the coming weeks; these will be communicated in due course.  NB! Should circumstances change, the works may be rescheduled.

Law enforcement officials, assisted by N3TC Route Services, will manage the temporary closures of the N3 Toll Route. All heavy motor vehicles travelling northbound, towards Gauteng, will be stacked on the N3 Toll Route between Howick North/Tweedie (I/C 107) and Balgowan/Curry’s Post (I/C 125). Should the officials deem it safe, light motor vehicles may be diverted via the R103 at Howick North/Tweedie (I/C 107) and directed back onto the N3 Toll Route at Nottingham Road (I/C 132).

Logistics operators are advised to plan ahead and make provision for possible traffic delays on these dates.
